There is a constant pressure in society to stay modest. I
refer to it as the covered challenge which many have failed. Today women are
looked upon as sex objects; like the perfect liquor to quench a man’s thirst.
Whenever society comes across a female with a ‘good’ body the next desire is to
see her assets. Unfortunately nothing is left to the imagination. Then again, call me old fashion, as I almost forgot that is considered liberal for
modern secular planet earth.
The constant strain to be nude is generic; that is no
surprise. The norm is to expect the unexpected from anyone. Society has now
groomed us into cannibals. Nudity has become the ink in water infiltrating the pure
to endorse poisoned minds. The reaction nowadays in seeing a well-dressed
covered woman has now become taboo; we tend to stare and gaze, dropping our
comments of discernment to express our whole hearted disapproval. Everyone is
eager to be a sex symbol as it’s the fuel that helps stir the hype in society
in order to stay relevant.
As a full fledged covered woman, I have encountered so many
pressure to relinquish my modest attire and do photo-shoots like the generic societal
attractive woman. Society has poisoned us into thinking that attraction and
beauty is associated with nudity. I can argue that, but in this day and age my point will not carry
much weight.
I have seen so many covered girls fall into the temptation to expose themselves. I am thankful that I have no such history. I am not tempted by nudity, because I am already sure about myself. I don’t need a half of million likes to prove how attractive I am. As attraction is a subjective term; some show it in modesty, books or nudity etc. My relevance and place in society is more of a challenge. It’s a covered girl challenge, which indeed is basically the hardest challenge ever. In today’s world where every woman is addicted to cosmetic surgery, there are millions out there who can do the same thing. Don’t challenge me to what is common. Challenge me to what is impossible or difficult for society.
I stand my ground as a full fledged covered woman, and I am thankful that I have never succumbed to removing my head covering nor modest attire, in order to satisfy society's thirst. Covered girl modest challenge, who is with me?
Despite
how intense the pressure may get, I have always managed to stand my ground. My
body is my trophy/temple and I keep it on the highest shelf, adorn and covered
in a glass cage. Lock and key? Of course! And it takes a pretty darn good lucky man
to unleash me, all in the light of marriage. But how is a man to know if he has not seen your body? Well in my faith if you have any severe imperfections on your body the correct thing to do is tell him about it. What if he doesn't like what he sees? Then bye Felicia! Shallow comes shallow goes. Hence forth, I am confident and when that time comes, wait until I blog about that. Oh I'm teasing and just keeping the humour alive.
